Suzanne is a qualified Colourstrings teacher for Early Years, and teaches regularly in nurseries and in private classes.

“(Suzanne is) Very lively and engaging with children.” – Naheed Cruickshank, Early Years music specialist

She was selected by Culture And Sport Glasgow for the training opportunity and as part of that training, taught in the Glasgow Gaelic School nursery on a weekly basis. Since qualifying, Suzanne has taught ongoing blocks of workshops in nurseries including Hillview Nursery in Ferguslie, and Westercraigs nursery in Dennistoun. She has also delivered one off workshops in a variety of nurseries through Live Music Now, and works in private classes on a weekly basis along with specialist, Naheed Cruickshank.

“Colourstrings is child-centred. The materials are colourful, stimulating and entice children to embark on musical adventures that will enable each of them to fulfil their musical pottential through fun and creativity, without pressure. It is an extension of the Kodály philosophy: everything starts with singing to develop inner hearing.”            copyright: The Szilvay Foundation, 2011
